Sunrise Hawksbill Mountain Bridal Session

This session was seriously one for the books. I’m all for a good sunrise session but usually they’re a short trek away. When Terrell & Val suggested having their bridal session at Hawksbill mountain I couldn’t be more excited! I had been wanting to go on this hike for literally years. After my last (failed) attempt getting there (resulting in me getting lost, asking someone for directions only to still be lost and drive home unfulfilled )there was no way I was missing this chance.

So, of course I said YES. Sunrise was at 7 and after driving there and hiking to the top that would mean we’d have to wake up by a nice crispy 3:00am. Done. After arriving and taking a nice but steady climb to the top, the weather was COLD. I mean bone chilling, windy, need a cup of coa coa in your hands -cold. BUT after finding cover in some bushes for warmth we were ready to roll.

Luckily by the end of the session we ran into a few campers that shared their fire with us, shared a few laughs and let us pet their dog. Honestly not a bad way to end the trip.

And was it worth it? Heck yeah.
